Engage with the Site
Built on the same site as our Eagle View Lofts project, the three buildings engage with SE sixth on the east, along the original railway siding to the north and along the bioswale of the loft project to the west. This last building’s entries are accessed via a raised boardwalk which minimizes the impact to the natural landscape + connects to a bridge over the bioswale so residents can share amenities. Each unit will have views to the river and eagle nesting area from rooftop patios.
Vertical and Compact
All 23 units are simple stacked 1,000 sq.ft. living spaces. First; Den/Garage, Second; Living/Dining/Kitchen, Third; Two Bedrooms/Bath. The stair and storage spaces are along one side to allow for clear view front to back and up stairway from second to rooftop. The exterior materials express the interior plan with core-ten for storage + stair and bleached cedar + horizontal metal for living spaces.
The primary objective was to offer city townhouse living at an affordable price. While finishes are simple, the arrangement is open with light filled spaces. The low maintenance exterior, while relating to the Lofts project, has a more appropriate residential street scale.
